Shooting in Las Vegas

The worst shooting in U. S. history happened in Las Vegas last night about one o'clock. I'm sure you've heard it on the media all day just as I have. It's impossible to understand how any person could have so much hate in his heart to kill fifty eight innocent people and injure four hundred others. But He meted out punishment to himself as well. He killed himself before officers could break down the door to his hotel room. We'll hear more as days go by. Although he had no record and had never been in trouble hatred was festering inside hidden from his family and everyone who knew him. Did he have no feelings for other human beings or had he been so crushed by some sort of abuse that he had a break from reality? We'll hear more it in days to come. I'm heart broken for all families who had loved ones killed and injured.

I think the person is mentally disturbed. No normal man can do that. Even an assassin would only kill the one he was told to kill, but not everyone around his target.

He had to be mentally unbalanced. A sane person could not do such a horrible thing.

I wonder too, was he a sociopath? Or did something happen and he just snapped?

I think we'll learn more as the investigation goes on. Surely if he was a sociopath his family would have known. His family seem to be just as puzzled as everyone else.

It's heartbreaking and so sad to see what this evil person did to so many innocent people. I'm hoping as the days go by that the authorities come up with some answers even though it won't change a darn thing.

I'm interested in what the girlfriend has to say and why he gave her the hundred thousand dollars and sent her away. I think she might have some answers.

Yes, I have heard and read about this. Really horrible. I have read that the girlfriend of the murderer is a Filipina from Australia. I wonder what is behind this killing of innocent people.

@RubyHawk true. I've been.watching CNN quite often lately. It's really puzzling why this man would do something like that.

Its hard for me to listen to the National Public Radio folks rattling on about this news. Many of them sound like they are on the verge of breaking into tears.

I hope he goes straight to h**l for killing all of those people. There is no good reason for doing something like that.

Horrible news to wake up too on Monday. And it was at a concert of one of my favorite country singers, Jason Aldean. My daughter and I just recently saw Jason Aldean in concert here in Florida. I shudder at the thought that it could have easily been us in that situation. And what really bothers me about this entire situation is that I fear it's only going to continue to get worse in the future with crazy and/or hateful people unleashing their fury on innocent people.

It's heartbreaking, to know any one human being, could be so demented in his mind, to do this!
