YES I CAN!

Yes I can do it, I can survive quite happily without the internet for five days - or longer if necessary. Over the weekend I had a rather disturbing encounter with something that was internet related (I shall elaborate in my next post) so I decided to test myself to see how long I can survive happily without working online, using the WhatsApp on my smartphone etc. - and it wasn't too difficult. Before the internet, we all went about our daily lives blissfully unaware of what was to come. Now that we have seen and tasted the benefits of the internet - it would be hard to go back - but we are also aware that the internet has a very dark side to it as well. Can I survive without the internet? Yes I can. What about you?

I know I can, and did when I went on holiday last year, but it's not something I want to do on a regular basis. The Internet is a necessary tool for my life. I have no intention on going backwards and spending hours at the library trying to find information and coming up with keywords that get me know where fast.

It does save us a lot of time - so much can be done without having to leave the house.

How did you survive 5 days Internet-less? Curious.

I read two novels - something I have been planning to do for some time now. I completed an order of dolls for the gift shop - before the deadline, I managed a few sketches and I watched local television.

I can survive without Internet. The question is for how long? If I had a way to access the Internet at my fingertips it would be harder to say NO.

Yes, I can survive but it is hard. But then I could rest and give my eyes a relaxing treat. Oh, well. I forgot. I still have real books to read

I find it difficult without data connectivity or wi fi connectivity. I may not be online all the time but when I need to check my mail and other things, I wish that my data connectivity should be available.

I know I can, when I go to visit my mother in Italy and I stay there a couple of days, I do not even bring my tablet with me. No Internet in her home.

If I had to, I could. I would miss many things but if it was for my well being I could adapt and go back to reading books, doing sketching or some other hobby. I would miss many things though. Sorry something disturbing happened to you.

Yuppers, I could @Kandae11 . Although it would suck to have to go back to mailing all my bills back with checks instead of doing it on line. Cost of stamps, envelopes, time. YUK!!!

I had to survive without the internet. When I switched providers something got mixed up and I ended up without the internet for about 2 weeks. No cellphone or smartphone either. Just my good ol' reliable landline.

At that stage in my life when I am so involved with online business activities - I would prefer to have it - but if 'push came to shove'. I could do without it.

Out system are built to survive any situation we found ourselves but the challenge is the time taken to adapt to such situations. I can live without internet but certainly it won't be easy to get it off my system.
