YES I CAN!

Yes I can do it, I can survive quite happily without the internet for five days - or longer if necessary.
Over the weekend I had a rather disturbing encounter with something that was internet related (I shall elaborate in my next post) so I decided to test myself to see how long I can survive happily without working online, using the WhatsApp on my smartphone etc. - and it wasn't too difficult.
Before the internet, we all went about our daily lives blissfully unaware of what was to come. Now that we have seen and tasted the benefits of the internet - it would be hard to go back - but we are also aware that the internet has a very dark side to it as well.
Can I survive without the internet? Yes I can. What about you?

I know I can, and did when I went on holiday last year, but it's not something I want to do on a regular basis. The Internet is a necessary tool for my life. I have no intention on going backwards and spending hours at the library trying to find information and coming up with keywords that get me know where fast.

I suppose I could if I had to but I do enjoy having the luxury of things at my fingertips

I can survive without Internet. The question is for how long? If I had a way to access the Internet at my fingertips it would be harder to say NO.

@Kandae11 I wonder how things were before the existence of the Internet.

I find it difficult without data connectivity or wi fi connectivity. I may not be online all the time but when I need to check my mail and other things, I wish that my data connectivity should be available.

If I had to, I could. I would miss many things but if it was for my well being I could adapt and go back to reading books, doing sketching or some other hobby. I would miss many things though. Sorry something disturbing happened to you.

Yuppers, I could @Kandae11 . Although it would suck to have to go back to mailing all my bills back with checks instead of doing it on line. Cost of stamps, envelopes, time. YUK!!!

I had to survive without the internet. When I switched providers something got mixed up and I ended up without the internet for about 2 weeks. No cellphone or smartphone either. Just my good ol' reliable landline.

Me too except for work related important things..In fact I am back on my lot after coming back from a vacation that involved lots of actual interaction and no net.
But wouldn't like to be away all the time from my lot and my WhatsApp groups

@Kandae11 I don't mind it too much. I can usually get enough of a signal to my lot in bed or on the couch if I want
