Which boat should we buy, dear?

Or maybe I should say ship or yacht? Or maybe we should purchase a houseboat?
This is one of the scenes that we looked at as we walked the boardwalk in Olympia earlier today. Warm for October until rain swelled in. Its so green here and that's why. Lots of rain.
We've walked about four miles today. We toured their yummy and colorful farmer's market and walked the boardwalk. We put Sally dog in the car then walked over to a seafood restaurant. I could not resist a bowl of clam chowder. This is chowder made by a chef not something that climbs out of a can. So rich tasting!
After our lunch we drove over to a nearby lake and walked about another mile or more, this time again with Sally. I hate that she is showing her eight years. She is mostly still frisky but for shorter times and all this walking started to wear on her. She started walking slower as we headed around the lake shore. Even the dozens of birds in the water didn't perk her up.
Everybody but me is napping now. We might go visit friends tonight and see what we need to do about dinner. I should find something light after that rich lunch.

I would go for a houseboat, then you could stay there!

@petatonicsca That would be quite the life! I wonder how much houseboats rock in the water?

@sallypup I have no idea, but I would be seasick in no time.

MMMMM, love clam chowder. It has to be my favorite soup. My son makes such a good clam chowder. His is the only one I have tried that comes close to what I like. He has to tweek it a bit before he gets the honor of my saying it is the best I have had.

@ElusiveButterfly This chowder was a good one. Chunks of some kind of ham in it, too.

@sallypup I have had it with bacon, but not with ham. I have a recipe for it and have never made it.

@ElusiveButterfly I think it was ham. Meaty chunks for sure. The ginger Asian fresh slaw paired with it was very tasty, too.

A houseboat would be interesting. They don't go very fast though.

@snowy22315 An uncle of mine had an old houseboat. He took us on a ride down the Mississippi river once. Lots of fun.

All the boats look great. I have never been on a house boat before. Hope your dog perks up after a rest. Poor dear. Did you decide what you were going to buy?

@Gita17112016 I'm not buying a boat. It was a poor joke on my part. Some of those boats out there cost more than my husband makes in two years.

@Gita17112016 Same here. Not that many can afford such boats. We are on vacation and when we go off on such adventures, we do a lot of walking. Good to hear from you.

@sallypup Oh, I took you seriously. And here I was ready to be all impressed! But to give you credit, you did spend an awful time walking your dog! That is what you were doing right? Anyway, the boats do look impressive. In Trinidad only a selected few can afford that! Easy on the eyes though! I like the view.

if you buy a boat or a yacht, are you going to sell your house then?

@peachpurple I truly can not afford such beauties plus I would need someone to drive the boat cause I haven't a clue on how to do such things.

A houseboat would be fun to rent for the weekend. That water looks cold. It is sad when our pups age so much faster than we do.

I'll bet even the one on the far bottom left would be too expensive for me.
Yeah, she's going to need shorter walks from now on. Ally is only 6 but has slowed down a lot since Mykey passed in 2015. Used to be she'd run like the devil just for the fun of it and wouldn't stop for at least 20 minutes, now she might run a lap before she's ready to go back in the house. I can tell she misses Mykey.

A yacht is nice, but expensive so I'd got with a houseboat.
