what are some of the worse and best pet you can give a child and why my taught for worse pet is a snake because snake will try eventually to eat its master. pythons.. a better pet is a bird or cat. cats are affectionate and protective. some birds can sing or even talk so their great company

I think kids should grow up with animals, but, I mean cats and dogs. It is good for them to learn responsibility. Lots of times when you get a kid a pet they shirk their responsibility and the parents are stuck taking care of the pet. I think when getting a pet start out small like with gold fish to each them about feeding them and then go on from there.

I've grown up with dogs and I loved each one of them. Sadly they passed away and since then I've been wanting to get another one but I don't have the time at the moment. I will when my kid grows up though. My niece who is 5 wants a goldfish or a hamster now. Dangerous pets would be snakes for sure

@ri1089 sorry about your childhood pets i know how that feel i use to cry for my pet i use to own a dog when i was younger to she die that was the worse moment of my childhood too

@ashleyash yeah it's the worse moment, that's why it's better to wait till you're ready to get one. When I was little, my mum had to get rid of one because she couldn't look after him anymore, I was so heartbroken.
