Hello older folk out here,
I just want to know how you feel being on the side where people address you to be old?
For me, I wonder how it will feel like, though am scared of it but I know if God permits I will soon be there.
What's you feeling about getting old for the young people?

As you get older yourself, the term old will change for you. When I was 8, I thought 20 was old. When I was 15, I thought 30 was old. When I was thirty, I thought 45 was old. I will be turning 50 soon, and I still in my mind feel like I should be about 30. So what you feel like when you are "old" will be all in your perspective of what old is. Believe me, it will change.

older need not equal old - you start slowing down on some things but as long as you stay healthy life can still be great for you

We grow by each passing minute. We need to accept the reality. You realize that you have become older when kids/younger generation start calling you Uncle. You may be young at heart but your appearance tells that you have become older than others.

Age is nothing but a number. I do not consider myself old but I am an old soul.

I like some of the perks of being older and some I don't.

i remember a 19 year old telling me I was old at 34. Made me pause but and smile at the same time. I was like hope you live this long. Comments like that you surely will not. That being said, I ask myself everyday and say wait till tomorrow. Me feels no old, just a mindset like everything else. Kidneys falling out, me say going to punch the world in the face.

Age is all in a state of mind. I have seen people who are in their 60's who have more energy that a 20 year old.

My body is achy these days. Makes me regret that I was careless in my youth. Most still consider me to look younger than my age, but slowly (surely), my age is beginning to shine through. The wrinkles are coming, there are some grey hairs (that I color).... But I'm active. i do yoga every day, coach my 6 year old daughter's soccer team, and do many other things that keep me on my toes. I don't think 47 (my age) is old, but it's definitely around here that you start noticing those things like wrinkles and aches.

It sucks more than you'll ever know until you are old yourself.
