Hello friends. You haven't heard from me since June. I broke my leg in June and had to have surgery. I'm fine now, but when I was on hospice I lost so much muscle mass I couldn't walk.
I went to a nursing Gome after surgery and I'm no longer on hospice because I'm getting physical therapy and occupational therapy so I am doing better. I have been using the site to stand lift to get out of bed.
I'm learning to walk. I took 6 steps today. Next I will learn to pivot to get in wheelchair and bedside commode, but that will take time.
I hope you haven't forgotten me.
I love all my old friends.
Sallly

Jim Jen, I'm getting way better. Before I had any function I got up with the Hyatt lift. That is a net they put under your body and it lifts you. Now I'm on a site to to stand lift. They diaper me on the lift before I go to bed. I am incontinent because I can't walk or stand by myself.

I'm glad to hear from you too. I've gone from hospice to being fairly independent. I can shower myself now and sit on the side of the bed by myself and toilet every 2 hours. I do have accidents.

Hi Kristin. I'm healed. My nerves in my feet and legs are beginning to wake up. I get electrical stimulation 5 days a week.

OH dear Sally! WE haven't forgotten you at all. I really wondered where you've been but I thought that you were just busy just like me when I disappear for months as well. I have disappeared before you for many months but I think I came back about three months ago.
I'm glad you are back here again and hope you haven't forgotten me since I changed my profile pic again. But that's me, always change my profile pic.

I can't go home. I'm here for life. If I get bad again my daughter can't help me. She has her own health problems.

So sorry to know about your broken leg. It is good you are recovering from it. Yes, our friend, Heather Echola mentioned about you. And I remembered having met you in some other sites.

@DesirousDreamer so sorry you had to go through that. It's not easy to recover. I have 2 artificial knees. They are like my own now I have had them since 01 and 03.

@OreoBrownie Twice actually, not a broken leg. But I had knee surgery on my left knee and that took a while to walk again and then I had blood clots in my right leg and had some damage to my hip with that that made it very hard to walk
