I have never tried using a chopstick only. I prefer to use the forks. I have seen one of my friends making a fool of herself by trying to use a chopstick in a public place. After that day I dont even look at a chopstick

I can, not super well, though, and not always. One time, my mother made as use chop sticks (for fun) instead of forks. Everyone but me kind of got the hang of it, but I couldn't. I got frustrated and they told me to just use my fork, but I refused. So, 45 minutes later, I still hadn't eaten, but I FINALLY got the hand of those chop sticks and was better than everyone else with them. Lol! My biggest achievment ;)

When we lived in California, we learned to use chopsticks from a native-born Chinese cook. Then when we moved to Hawaii, we went to a road rally. We were doing ok, given that all the street names held a dearth of consonants. When we arrived back at the start, we found silly games to compete in to gain more points. One was to move marbles from one bowl to another, using-you guessed it!-chopsticks. Since we appeared to be Haole (inexperienced white people), they were snickering up their sleeves, until my husband started merrily moving the marbles around! After awhile, he had to ask them if he'd moved enough or not! Whipped their silly grins off, for sure!
I still sometimes use chopsticks. Really, the only way to learn chopsticks, beyond the first time someone shows you how, is to just use them until you become proficient.

I wish I could use those. But still I prefer a spoon and fork and when neede, I use my hands. But as for the chopsticks, I have ni idea how to hold them properly so using them is a big problem for me.

You may be having a starting trouble. After sometimes, you will be alright.

I can use it, but honestly I am not that good with it. I agree that fork and spoon are so much easier than using chopsticks.

I am actually pretty good with the sticks. I still have some trouble eating rice with them though, although it seems they are merely used to scoop the granules of rice into one's mouth.

I tried once and I had more food on me then in my mouth so I will stick with the fork from here on out.

Yes. i know how to use the chopsticks. In fact it is quite good to use the chopsticks to eat certain food like noodle. Sure make it tastes a little better using the chopsticks.
