A simple meal of fish and tomatoes

I may enjoy the more extravagant meals or feasts at fancy restaurants but at the end of the day I always come home to my simple meal of fish and fresh tomatoes. Smoked fish or fried fish is my fave along with steamed rice. I sometimes put fish sauce or soy sauce on my tomatoes. Is there a particular meal that you always come home to?

Oatmeal - not exactly a meal but it is enough for me. Oatmeal with muscovado sugar.

fresh fish and fresh vegetables. those are the foods I really wish to have whenever i am in my hometown. I really like young jackfruit cooked in coconut milk partnered with fish "sinigang".

@almostoveryou Oh, is that bangus? It's delicious but the only thing I don't like is it has so many fine bones... Unless it's pressure cooked until the bones are soft and edible...

i mix fish sauce with tomatoes if it's tinapa (smoked fish). but if it's daing na bangus (milkfish soaked in vinegar and garlic then fried) like in your picture, i prefer pairing it with atchara (pickled green papaya).

What I really love about MyLot, especially on the food posts, is the number of posters from other places in the world besides the US. Then I can see how people live, and eat, outside the US. Very educational.
