It was not fake or ripped money

I left the store the other when I noticed a crumpled piece of paper that looks like money. I had to make sure no one was looking because it was near the Pirate CD kiosk.
When I took it I took expecting it to be fake or ripped half bill. Lucky for me that night that I decided to bet on the lottery instead.
But if I saw some one dropped it, then I would have take it and hurried to give back to that owner. In this case, there was no owner.

Hello @jstory07 That's a huge amount of money if I would have found them here. Now 100$ is even higher @CoralLevang that's one stroke luck there. I agree with the both of you @Hannihar and @yanzalong

@Letranknight2015 Ok. I`m speechless because I`ll do the same as you did as noone is looking for it and no traceable owner. Money is money so I`ll use it in lottery or spend some for a food and give it to poor child on the streets

Awesome, hope it was a good chunk of change. I once found about 240 dollars. There was bills in the bushes. To bad I found the guy who it belonged to. He did not carry a wallet and all the bills fell out of his pockets. I did feel better once I gave it back because that was his rent money for the week and plus he was one of my bosses at the time.

I found it on the street, I would take it up and take it to the Charity. If it was such a big amount, this would be a challenge to me.

yes we can adapt the idea of 'finder's keeper', but only if nobody owns that. usually too, when i or my sister sees a coin on the floor or road, we pick it up and give it to the church as alms.

Oh...very nice. I found a wallet full of currency once. It was early in the morning when I was going to visit my sister who was admitted in a hospital for her delivery. I picked it up. There was no one to claim it or to inquire about it. I bought it and counted the currency. It was having some Rs.4,000/-. I kept the amount with me only.. Sometimes, I think about it and recollect the incident. If I had inquired about the owner I think everybody would have approached me. I just watched around the place and near the houses if there was anyone searching for something. But, there was no one at that time. Of course, maybe, it was my luck or it was meant for me only.

Hello @KrauseHome wow talk about some jackpot you got there, but it was also sad because this was some one's hard work. I guess if that was my situation I would consult a radio station specially if there's an ID.

I agree if you see someone dropping it then return it. But if noone was around, then you keep it as if you ask who dropped it, everyone will say it was theirs.
