Welcome to today's Good News Stories. Up first is a unique story I think you will enjoy. Especially if you like to run. Blind Runner and His Dog Thomas Panek lost his sight at age 20, but that didn't stop him from running in races. He continued running with guides leading the way. However, he wanted to know what it would be like to run with a dog, in particular, his dog, Gus, a Labrador Retriever. The idea was rejected time and again, but that didn't deter Mr. Panek, who started working with dogs for the sole purpose of running races. He will be running a race with Gus on Sunday, October 29 in Central Park, called the Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff. The race's organizer New York Road Runners agreed to allow Gus to run. He will wear an official bib and be recognized as a participant in the race. To read more about Mr. Panek and Gus, and the school he created for dogs to run races, click on the link below. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/24/nyregion/a-blind-runner-and-his-guide-dog.html?partner=msft_msn This next story isn't as unique as the first, unless you consider the age of the person involved. 94-Year-Old Skydiver On Eila Campbell's bucket list was skydiving. Great grandmother Eila Campbell wasn't about to pass up the opportunity she trained for with her granddaughter and great granddaughter. She made the 10,000 foot jump on Sunday and said she would do it again. How wonderful that Gus will get to run with Thomas . And proof that age is indeed just a number, Go Eila!

For sure, but not something I will ever do. Kudos to her. I'm glad Gus will run with him on Sunday. I hope he does well.

Looks like nothing can stop someone but ourselves. I have no problem with dogs but skydiving, no thanks. I would rather watch.

Both amazing and uplifting stories! My nephew went skydiving twice in Hawaii and took selfies doing it. I love to fly, but could never ever do that!!!!

I want to skydive. It's on my weight loss list - I'm above the weight limit, but if I ever lose the weight, I'm jumping!
