Some of you might remember, and if you do, I'm impressed, I talked about going painting with a couple of friends a few months ago.The store features a ton of different pottery, glass, and fabric that you can paint with multiple paints of every color, and includes stencils, stamps, and much more (they then put it in a kiln and you get it back a week later). While I was there last time I admired a skeleton head that had beautiful designs like roses and flowers laid into the clay. I loved it, but it was $17, and I couldn't afford it. This past Friday my friends and I went to the place again, and one friend totally surprised me. She had purchased the skeleton head for me last month with the intent to surprise me the next time we went. Right now it's still at the place, waiting to be placed in the kiln. A lot of people think liking a skeleton head is weird, but that's not what I like. I liked the skeleton head sculpture because of the beautiful things that decorated it. I guess I like the juxtaposition of something dark being made into something that is also beautiful. Do you have things you like that others find odd? This picture is from the short lived trip I took to Branson, Missouri earlier in the month. I thought it was cute, and I don't have any mugs, so I bought it.
