Thursday Greetings Everyone!
Another week is flying by and it's hard to believe that we're heading into the last weekend of another month. October has been a crazy month weather wise as it's been warmer than usual and I'm still caught between summer clothes and fall clothes. I never know how to dress anymore.
Halloween is next week and my grandchildren love to come here to Trick or Treat. I have lots of houses in my neighborhood so it's easy for them to make a candy haul by the time they're done. Of course they never tell me what costumes they are wearing and like to ring the bell, say Trick or Treat and see if I can guess it's them. All the giggling gives it away but of course I play dumb and let them surprise me.
I finally got the candy to give out and I was afraid if I waited too long there wouldn't be anything good to choose from. I also didn't want to get it too early, eat it and then have to replace it
My youngest daughter went to work today but her sister is coming over for lunch and then we're going to work on some craft projects. I'm back in the swing of crafting and it's so fun and relaxing that I wonder why I put it away and forget about it for months at a time.
Of course crafting has eaten into my reading time and I'm only 3/4 of the way through the book I'm reading whereas I'd have finished it and been 3/4 through the next one. Talk about pressure!!!
My decluttering has been put on the back burner and once again at the bottom of my priority list.
No cooking for me tonight. My daughter is bringing home grilled chicken Caesar salads from a place near her work and they have the best. My mouth is already watering just anticipating it.
So that's what's going on in my little corner of the myLot world. What's new with you?

When I have no plans I just find as many people as possible to annoy all day.

That happened to me last year and I ate it all and had to replace it. Not good for my wallet or my waistline

@Marilynda1225 I did that with a half block of chocolate once. Ate it all then had to go out and buy another block and eat half of that so no-one would know what I'd done. It's a wonder I wasn't sick!

Good Friday morning to you. School is out here as a make up day for teachers having worked extra for conferences. Weather turned cold, hubby lit two of the furnaces yesterday. We will go visit my family this weekend.

Yeah, it's been a crazy few months weatherwise. I just hope recovery from the hurricanes and fires won't be too slow.
It sounds like you're getting our kinda autumn which I call the seasaw season, the temps around here will be anywhere from 60 to 90 in the day and 37 to 52 during the nights, hopefully the 37 won't come about too often, I don't like the cold.
Sometimes I wish there were tricker treaters around here, oh well it does save me money cuz I don't have to buy candy. Most of the families with kids take them to their school or church parties rather than letting them go house to house. But on Nov 1 many of them go to the cemeteries with their picnics to share with their ancestors some even go to the one in Juarez because their parents were immigrants.
At least it's quiet here on halloween

Halloween here is still pretty active even though many churches have parties. Mostly we get younger children and the older ones do the party thing

Nothing really new, I am painting and delivering some art on Saturday, the tourist season has slowed so I am taking more breaks and enjoying being on myLot more. You reminded me I need to buy candy for Halloween, I hate buying it early because I tend to be the woman with her hand in the candy bag...

I think it's going to be around mid 60's degrees F here for Halloween which is pretty decent for the kids to go trick or treating.

@Marilynda1225 Yes that's a great way of putting it--my daughter lives fairly close but my son is a good bit away so I do more things with her through the week!

It's been unusually warm here this fall too. It's hot during the day and then chilly at night. We're still running the air conditioning, and then we'll have a random cool day where I want to turn on the heater!
Sounds like you have a lot of fun crafting! I miss doing crafts. I should dig my crafting supplies out and try to get creative again.

Enjoy your day and that chicken dinner! Sounds terrific! We had yet another wonderful surprise visit from our newly married son. He was in the area, popped over, played with his cats, chatted with us, and worked from our home on his laptop and phone for four hours! Lol!!!
