I want to reduce one or two pounds of my weight, especially on my thighs. Most of my friends whom I asked the way to reduce weight suggested me to skip my dinner.
Well, I think I can't skip my dinner. It's my family tradition that we should have dinner together in our dining room.
Is skipping dinner the only way to reduce weight? What will happen if we skip meal?

Skipping meals is not an effective way to lose weight. Eat healthy foods and exercise.

I have heard that some of my colleagues skip their dinner to control their weight. However, it is not everyone's cup of tea to skip dinner. In my view, one could have light dinner and that too three hours before going to bed, but skipping does not sound justifiable to me.

@A_loves_B No need to go with your friends. Let them do what suits them.
If you just cannot skip your dinner, do not skip it, instead you could reduce your intake when you take dinner.

@dpk262006 Nice advice. My dinner meals consist of rice, lentils, leafy greens, and fries. Which one should I eliminate?

I think this is a wrong way. It will have a bad effect on your health. I still think that doing more exercises is the best. Besides, try to eat and chew the food slowly. I eat slowly and I am very thin. It is too difficult for me to pull on more weights. Of course my family is not fat, but I also think that eating way has an effect on the weight. I will feel uncomfortable when I eat fast.

No. Eat right and eat healthy. Be more active. Creating a caloric deficit is the way to lose weight.

I don`t think skipping meals is a healthy way of reducing weight but less eating in every meal can help reduce weight in a more healthier way

I've been trying also to lose weight, I even tried skipping but not succesful, according to Dietitian in the office, skipping is a no no when you want weight properly. She actually recommends for a little but frequent intake of food to stabilize our digestion system. It's just that this process is kinda long. So patience is the main factor here. I can't even follow her advise.

I don't think you should skip dinner, especially if it's a meal with your family. Try cutting back on sweets and high fat foods and exercise more.

There are many different ways and you're the best person who can determine which works best. Some lose weight easily when they eat only.bread and pasta. Some eat only oatmeal for dinner. Some don't bother to diet at all - they just exercise a lot.

You cant lose weight on your thighs by skipping dinner meals. You should look for specific exercise. I have tried some of them and they are so easy and can de done by lying on your back on a yoga mat. Skipping dinner will make you dizzy and sleepless nights only.

No never skip your food at anytime for weight loss.. Try something , rich of fiber helps you to reduce bad fat. Skipping a meal can lead to severe health issues later and also over some people .. less eating can be a very good chance for the bad cholesterol to build up in the body...
