@amadeo A lot of people have been saying that choosing to come out while responding to the accusation was opportunistic and tacky. I'm not sure that I agree.

He made a statement denying the allegations and calling himself a gay man. I used to work around a lot of actors and my sister was an actress and I do think that a lot of this rot is based around the industry itself and how things are conducted within the industry, especially at the higher level where there is a lot of money and privilege. I think a lot of victims might have thought this was just the 'norm' in Hollywood and those committing the crimes thought they were untouchable because they were in such positions of power and working in a career where there is often more 'freedom' than, for instance, working in an office.
