Best excuse for calling in sick at work

I thought I had heard them all - beyond the regular coughs and colds and food poisoning (of course....) to the strange and unlikely: “I have such a fever that I am dazed and confused and didn’t realise what day it was”. But today takes the biscuit. “Because of the clocks going back on Saturday, I haven’t had enough sleep so can’t come in to work” What’s the best excuse you’ve heard or used?

I have been self employed all my life, no excuses not to work, I even worked when pretty sick.

I haven't made any excuses in going to work. I work even when I'm sick.

@YesWay Even if I don't go to work, nobody would reprimand me anyway. But I have to show my employees I'm working hard so they would be ashamed that they aren't.

Is that person still employed? When I was working, an excuse like that would have been termination.
