Out of books to read...

Can you imagine? I am lying, I have two on my shelf one of which I won on Goodreads.com and started but may not finish - not really getting into it. For me this is running "dangerously low" on books. I did order a couple of Colleen Hoover books on Amazon but it may take weeks to receive them. Media mail is slow. I am personally a big fan of mystery and crime, also fiction, memoirs, war memoirs, and romance as long as its got a decent plotline. Among other genres. Have you read anything good lately? Any authors or books to suggest to me? hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

I feel like I have never gotten into that situation since I also read graphic novels as well as novels. I am currently reading The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

@maezee If you like horror or fantasy, I say Stephen King or Anne Rice. I adore Anne Rice.

Ah I am jealous! Is Helen Hardt similar to Stephen King and Koontz? I read Dean Koontz a lot when I was a teen and I remember his stuff being super scary!

While I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, I've stocked up on some books from the library. Have you read any by Lynette Eason or Terri Blackstock? They write Christian suspense fiction. Both are excellent.

I just bought a novel a few days back. Its genre is fantasy. The title is Nevernight, and it is first one in a series by Jay Kristoff. The starting was a bit(a lot, actually) non-conventional. Five chapters in, and I think the story will be fabulous, just like the writing style. Plus, I have the hardcover edition. So much for the pain of maintenance, but it is beautiful! I am a judge-book-by-the-cover-first person. The book is supposed to have a lot of bloodshed, but if you are not in that kind of thing, then I probably shouldn't have recommended this one. XD
