Do you listen to music to match your mood, or is it the other way around?

I really love listening to music. But I always have to listen to music that matches what I’m feeling. I’m wondering if you guys listen to music the same way ?

I listen to music to create a fresh new mood to take me out of the mood I am in.

My music usually depends on my mood at that particular moment.
