We're going to be sitting without power yet again! This is one of those rare times we have actually been notified. They will be switching off our electricity for 8 hours tonight to fix the same issue they were supposed to fix the last four times they switched our electricity off for 8 hours. They love 8 hours! What they do during those hours is a mystery, but I can tell you what they don't do, they don't fix the issue!  Because if they did ever actually fix it, then they wouldn't have to keep messing us around like this! As you can tell, I am a tad upset by this!  Thank you for letting me vent! Image : free Pixabay

No, they are not very forthcoming with information. When asked, they simply tell us they are trying to fix the problem. I think they are a problem!

The unannounced power interruption in our place cause so many troubles, the fish and meat in the ref doesn't smell good and we have to dispose it.

They don't take into account that it ruins food and can damage appliances.

yeah, I can relate to that. Many appliances got damaged because of this sudden burst of electricity to our appliances.

@ilocosboy , yes, power surges are very damaging. And there was so much to do before they cut the power and after, that it messed up two days.

That is definitely not pleasant. I can understand why you're upset. I would be too. 8 hours is a long time.

I can see how annoyed you are. Your rage has turned your dark curls into straight blonde hair. You must have been really, really mad!!! You'll just have to think of something enjoyable to do in the dark!!!

oh, i sympathize with you. it seems you are experiencing what we usually have here. power outage is indeed disappointing. i hope you will be able to do some more productive things while you have no electricity. incidentally, it will be our schedule again tomorrow, because we won't have electricity from 8AM to 5PM. the advisory stated that the electric cooperative will transfer loads to the newest electric substation.

Oh Catherine! I'm not even affected by this and I'm getting upset right along with you! There are third-world countries that don't lose power as much as you have lately. That should be a major embarrassment for your electricity provider. Is the utility company state-owned, or is it a private business? Because when you turn off a customer's power, that means they are not generating a bill, which means loss of revenue for the electric company.

Thank you, Jeff . They don't get embarrassed! I swear they have no pride! They were even an hour late, can't even stick to a schedule! They are state owned.

Sorry that you have been without power and they sound much like our lot here that go and leave you without an explanation as to what has been going on and if they do fix it we neve rknow anything except for the bill that they send us. They are very good at sending Bills though that is for sure.

8 hours is too long! Just too long and they've done that several times already and yet nothing has been fixed. But then again, there's nothing you can do but vent about it here in mylot.
