No More Frisking.

Ever since I had my hip replaced a couple of years ago I've suffered the indignity of being manually frisked every time I've gone through an airport. The metal in the false hip sets off the alarms.
I flew to Spain a couple of days ago, and thank goodness that has all changed. Now when the alarm sounds, they put you in a circular glass booth and scan you in there.
I had to stand with my arms and legs akimbo, but that was no bother - infinitely better than being prodded and poked by an airport official.
So that was a good start to my holiday, I'm a happy bunny.
Photo is mine - the beach here in Spain.

Sounds like a better alternative than getting frisked.

@BelleStarr Yup, it's a great improvement on being groped. The beach here is lovely - it must be two miles long so there's always lots of room on it, at this time of year anyway.

I have always disliked that being frisked and at one Airport the guy was being overzealous just a bit and another guy told him off.
I thought nothing of it really but I did not like it either.
The guy was only trying to stick up for me.
Great idea about the Booth I knew they had one in other Airports around the World but I really don´t like airports that much now.

@jaboUK
So I am not the only one then.
There was a time when it was fun to fly and go on holidays by plane.
They have turned it into I don´t know what.
I mean if I had to fly I would but I avoid it like the plague.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I don't like airports at all, so much hanging around. But at least this part is improved.

I suspect a lot of people will be disappointed to find out they will no longer be frisked. To some, that would be the hilight of the flight.

@vandana7 Frisked or frisky? It's very confusing.

@andriaperry I suppose it's the price we have to pay in order to keep us safe, but at least they keep their hands off us now.
