Do you dunk your donuts?

You probably know that an earlier version of donuts by Dunkin' Donuts actually had a handle to facilitate the "dunkin'". Apparently they were discontinued in 2003.
I've never tried donuts dipped in coffee or anything else (haven't seen people doing it either) but here, people like to dunk biscuits in tea, black coffee, or Milo - a brand of cocoa-malt drink (the chocolate taste is slightly less richer than the usual hot chocolate).
I just thought it's interesting to know how many of us actually dunk donuts in coffee. If you don't, do you do that with biscuits? Oreo in milk, maybe?
Dunkin' Donuts used to actually offer a donut called "The Dunkin' Donut" and it came with a handle that you could hold onto to dunk the donut in your coffee.

Not donuts but I dunk vanilla wafers with peanut better in the middle in Almond milk. LOVE that flavor.

Wow, interesting mix of flavors. I like peanut butter cookies but never tried dunking them in anything.

I'm trying to imagine vanilla wafers with peanut butter. I guess it's something you would just need to taste to see if it's an interesting taste.

I never dunk my donuts in any sort of beverage at all. I've seen other people dunk bread into their coffee or hot coco but I haven't done that either.

@cahaya1983 I do not like donuts, I like biscuits or cookies, but I would never dump anything, it's a bit against etiquette here.

@LadyDuck I wouldn't do it at the restaurant or other people's houses, just at home. Actually I read that there's a tea house somewhere in the UK (if I remember correctly) that has banned dunking inside their premise.

I suppose not everyone is pro-dunking. I love donuts but never dunked them in anything.

I don't like donuts that much unless they are glazed or my mamma makes them. And yes but only in chocolate milk. It tastes the best, anything else it is just bleh.

Oh I'm the opposite, I don't like glazed donuts. Chocolate milk, interesting! Never tried dipping anything in chocolate milk, actually. I should probably try it some time.

@cahaya1983 Donuts are way too sweet for me haha which is why I only go for glazed since they don't make me feel disgusting haha!

@cahaya1983 (ssshhh I will tell you a secret, I don't really care for some donuts. Every now and then I would have one that tastes so good, while others were so 'meh!' )

I haven't done that with donuts. What I usually dunk are cookies or biscuits in milk.

Same here, I've always wondered if many people actually do that since that's what Dunkin' Donuts had in mind when they named it like that.

@pitsipeahie Haha I know! Actually when I first saw that picture I thought the round part IS the handle.

@cahaya1983 Yeah as in "dunk in.." Dunkin I guess not all people are keen with the idea of dunking their donuts into something. I noticed too it seems easier to dunk the handle in the coffee instead of the donut itself hahaha

I didn't know about it either. I don't dunk donuts or bread, only certain types of biscuits but not in coffee.

When I was younger I was a dunker. I dunked everything in chocolate milk. Now, I avoid donuts all-together.

I like dunking biscuits but not too long so they won't get soggy. I don't like soggy biscuits either. Oreos and milk make a good combination I think - especially Strawberry cream oreos. Yums!

@cahaya1983 Ohhhh, I've never had the strawberry cream ones! This all reminds me of my sister who didn't dunk her bread, but she poured her hot chocolate onto white bread - she liked it soggy and said it was delicious!

@much2say Oh wow, that's new. I've only dunked bread in hot cocoa, pouring it onto the bread would make it too soggy I think.

my son, when we have Oreo cookies, would immediately make himself a glass of milk, and dunk the cookies.
regarding doughnuts, i eat it straight up, no dunking.

@cahaya1983 really? won't the strawberry flavor 'take control' of the taste of milk?

I am not much of a dunker. Dunking stuff into a liquid makes it mushy and I am not a fan of that.

Yeah some biscuits get soggy very quick. Others actually taste better after dunking them though.

@cahaya1983 I also hate when the bits of the biscuits, donuts, cookies, etc. end up in the tea or the milk...

We do dunk pandesal and other bread in coffee or milk but have not seen doing it to donuts. But I think this is a good idea to do.
