just keep your calm and never get angry, but also never agree to be physically or emotionally bullied stay nice

I think the best way is to just continue showing kindess to them. It is already up to them if they will reciprocate with your kindness or act the same. "Constant dripping of water wears away the stone not through force but through persistence."
