You are what you hang out with, that is how I was raised and its true. I prefer friends, male and female, that are funny and go getters, not lazy bums waiting for others to do everything.

I don’t really have a criteria in choosing a friend. I just know when someone is going to be a great one. I have friends from different walks of liked and different ages. I have friends as young as 20 and as old as 65. I will be turning 40 early next year.

I actually have picked my family. My mom, my brother, my grandmother and a few cousins and their kids. Noone else is family to me. Never picked friends though. We just met and either hit it off and friendships happened or they didnt.

Don't think I'd want to be friends with the rich and famous - unless I actually liked the person anyway. Don't think I have ever actively chosen a friend - my friendships just tend to develop naturally - form shared circumstances or interests. I think that is the ebst way - rather than cold-bloodedly going after someone to be your 'friend'. Picking someone who is less attractive is also not the way to pcik a friend - when you like the person the looks are irrelevant.
