Cats or Dogs - The Best Pets

India
December 3, 2017 12:10am CST
We all have pets at home.It is very nice to have pets. I have cats and kittens at home. It is really very nice to see the kittens playing with their mother. They like fish , meat and milk very much. I feel dogs are loyal than cats.A dog never forgets his master after he dies also. But cats have no attachment to its owner. Dogs are the best guards. If we have a dog at home we can sleep peacefully, but cats don't guard the house. The only advantage is that we won't have rats in our house as the cats kill them. So which you like the most -Dogs or Cats and why?

I have 4 adult dogs at home. It's good I have understanding neighbors because at night their barking commotion can be very loud.

@Strawberry18 _Our yard is large enough for them to run around but they're lazy and often just loll around the front of our house watching passers-by. They are never chain but we keep the front gate lock.

"We **all** have pets at home." I doubt that very much.

@MALUSE Actually because of your intelligence, I see a German Shepherd. They are extremely smart, easily trained and a fantastic protector.

I have always been a cat person but I also like dogs. My cat Sid is very intelligent. He always looks to me to be sure I am alright and I in turn make sure everything is alright with him. He might not be like a dog that can guard my house but if I see him peacefully sleeping I know that everything is alright.

I've had both at the same time @rubyriaz007 .The dogs were excellent protectors (since I live out in the country) but the cats would also be on 'guard'. If something was approaching from the outside, if the cats were located by a window, they would immediately stand up, their bodies stiff and they would meow. My cats also know if I'm not feeling well as they will come and place themselves beside me.

@nanette64 I'm in the country, too. I don't think my big Leah would hurt a flea but the other day somebody suddenly knocked at our door. Wow!!! Boom barks from Leah. The guy at the door looked startled. He backed up and kept his distance when I opened the door.

@nanette64 Leah did that once to a little 5 year old. Scared the liver out of us. The kid's family were visiting. I thought they'd gone home. Hubby was out with them and said to the boy, Just go in and get yourself a drink of water. Fine. Kid opened the front door without knocking. Leah jumped off the couch, jumped right in front of the poor boy, put the skids on and BOOM BOOM!! She did not touch the kid but she sure stopped him. He stood there, frozen. My grown up niece was visiting, too. She said she'd never seen anything like it. I guess Leah taught that kid to knock before walking into a stranger's house.

It depends. I share life with both cats and dogs. The cats aren't so great at going for car rides but they are very loving. I enjoy working with the dogs, teaching them to walk with me and to sit and stay down. I explore more with the dogs. Both dogs and cats have their place in my world.

I had a dog and loved her and had one cat and have another. On the most part I really care about my cat I have now. Cats do care also but you are right that dogs are very very loyal to to their owners.

i like cats the most.. because they are small and cute but they have quite the temper sometimes. Our dog is not the best guard though, since he is very friendly

Some cats are indifferent about mice I heard. I like both, but we have a naughty kitten right now.
