“Do you bring lunch from home?”

Some people discourage their kids to have packed lunch in their schools. But I think it shouldn’t be. Why? It is far better to have a slow food than having junk foods. School canteens can provide healthy food for the kids. However, it can save money if the kids have food from home.
When I was still in primary and secondary school level, I used to bring my lunchbox with me. I can save my money allowance and go straight to my piggy bank. The same routine had been carried out until working in my previous jobs.
How about you, guys?
Have you tried to have your lunchbox in school or workplace?

@carexing25 She must be so happy to earn money. The best thing is that the food is affordable. If I am your co-worker, I will take an order to her.

@Shavkat we had our company driver's wife set up her food stall outside from early morning up to the last working hour to serve us with home cooked food but here in my department all of us bring our own from home coz they are not commercialized and you can decide based on your tastebuds.. hehe

When I was still working, I always packed a lunch. That way I could pick and choose what's best, nutritionally.

Where I could I took food from home in a lunchbox or tupperware whatever you might call it.
I think that children should be allowed that and here I think that they are as there are so many children that would go hungry otherwise.
The Menu for School Dinners is better in some places but in others its quite awful.

@Shavkat
It can be a power packed vitamin filled source for her and lots of other people´s children that cannot afford the prices of the School Dinners now.

@lovinangelsinstead2 It is essential to let the child have their vitamins as a supplement. My family and I provided this for our little niece. Unfortunately, some parents cannot afford it.

@Shavkat is the food there in the school canteen more expensive than outside the school?

my 10 year old son had been bringing packed lunch to school since he was 5 years old. Nothing wrong with that. Except being laughed by his classmates....

Primary, yes. Secondary and tertiary, nah! But most of the times, I bring packed lunch in my workplace. Too lazy to go outside or ride in an elevator to buy lunch/food.

I only did that when I first started primary school. Most days I eat at the school canteen. Now I work from home so I make my own meal at home.

I always had my lunchbox with me from my elementary and highschool days. It does not only make me save money but It surely does help as well for me not to waste my time in queueing just to buy food in the canteen.
