I read The Secret several years ago. Basically The Law of Attraction explains that if you think positively you can attract things to yourself. (This is paraphrased and abridged, obviously.) Anyway, I get the appeal and liked the stories about people laughing their way through cancer - watching comedy movies all through cancer treatment and having cancer go into remission - but I also think that, if interpreted the wrong way, the Secret can be dangerous. I read it at a very unstable time in my life and was trying and trying to attract something to myself. For two years straight I refused to think of anything else. And, naturally, life took a different path (let's just say I was hoping for a change of location and a relationship, and you can't change people!) and it really, /really/ crushed me at the time to set myself up for that kind of disappointment. So, to sum up, I see the positive message behind it but I think it really has to be interpreted in the right, positive light and should not be leaned on so heavily. So that's my experience :)

I don't think there is such a thing. I believe more in, if you do something then something happens and if you do nothing then nothing happens. I was a salesman for some 40 years and when I did something, sometimes I got a break.

I have not seen the documentary but I have seen a lot of videos related to that. Also, read this book called "The Secret". I think it is true. What goes around, comes around.
If you stay positive, you get positive results and there are millions of examples out there. Search on youtube you will find tons of videos i.e people sharing their experiences.
