Do You Bounce Out of Bed Every Morning?

United States

By bouncing out of bed I mean, do you wake up feeling good and energized and can't wait to get the day started? I wish I could feel that good when I put my feet on the floor and have to get the day started. Usually it takes a nice shower and a cup of coffee to get my brain working. I was thinking about this as I sat on the edge of my bed this morning and had to talk myself into standing up and not pulling the covers back over my head. I'm just doggone tired. Other than being tired, we had more snow overnight but not more than an inch or two but enough to have to shovel it off the driveway and walkway. Our snow removal service doesn't come unless it's over 3 inches and it looks like the town hasn't come through to plow the street. I was so busy yesterday that I wasn't able to sit here and chat. My daughter and I were out doing Christmas stuff and we worked as a team. I was the driver and she ran into the stores that we needed things from. The parking lots were crazy and trying to find a spot was insane so our team work worked well and we saved a lot of time this way. Hoping you're all having a good day or are you stressed like me?

I'm going to have a good day, and now I hope that you will also. Don't stress over the stuff that you cannot change-it will give you wrinkles! I'm on a role with changing my hours at work this week and did so again today. I am making some dressing this morning for our family party this Saturday, good use of a morning, and much easier to do at the start of my day then after working all day.

No, I cannot say that I bounce out of the bed, I do not crawl, but I do not bounce. I need my cup of coffee first, then I start to feel ready for the day.

Nope, no energy or anything in the morning. But i get bad sleep almost every night and have back pains. Sounds like a good plan you had yesterday.

Sometimes, I am a bounce out of bed type..but I don't like to get up when it's cold. It is so much warmer in the room that I just want to bask in it.

A few times a year I'm in the jumping out of bed mode but for most days I have t use a lot of willpower, especially in the winter.

Not anymore. It takes me about an hour to get going. I usually wake up around six and go right to. .well, bathroom first, get coffee and then come and sit here till 7 on the computer. And I see it's now after 7, lol. I better go tend to my birds, I hear parakeets agitating under their cover. I hope your day goes smoothly today. And get a good rest when you can!

No bouncing out of bed for me either, I wake up and wait a while and then groan and moan as I get my knees to work...

That does sound like a good way to shop. Yes, I am the person who wakes up energized and ready to go. My brain has already been engaged long before I open my eyes. I flip from the dream state into thinking about what I need to do, my writing, where I'm going, chores, and being here, of course. Then I open my eyes, hoping that I can get a few more hours of sleep, only to find out that yes, my brain is engaged for a reason, time to get up, so I just push those covers aside, and get the day started.

Usually I bounce out of bed - unless I am feeling ill. This morning was a bit chilly though , so I got up 15 minutes later than I normally do.
