Endangered Species--5--Pygmy three-toed sloth

Wikipedia states that 5 years ago there were only 79 Pygmy three-toed sloths left, and that number is down to 49 (Animal Welfare Institute) this year. I don't know how old the video is but the expert states there are 200 left, which is still a scary number.
Their habitat (one small island off of Panama) is continually destroyed by man, and cats are playing a large role in their destruction. Feral cats hurt so many species, and even though they're just doing what a cat does, it's infuriating.
Scientist believe they can bring the woolly mammoth back into existence, when they should work on saving the animals that are barely surviving.
I've decided to put in a portion of my MyLot money every month towards saving some of these animals, and would love it if anyone wanted to do so also.

Their home is just one little island? Look at those long claws and how the fur blends into the surroundings. The feral cats should be rounded up and I won't say eliminated but all spayed and neutured so not to produce anymore.

@JohnRoberts I kind want them eliminated, but it's not really fair to them to punish them for what comes naturally to them. I wish they could just get them off the island somehow.

That is so kind of you to donate your mylot earnings! I am shocked and saddened how low their numbers are. Man needs to protect them. The feral cats can cause a lot of problems. They are gentle creatures so it is just so sad thinking about cats killing them when they move so slow they can't even protect themselves. It breaks my heart!

I became interested in Howler Monkeys when I was in Panama. They are also on the danger list.

I didn't get to see them so much as hear them. You can hear them up to three miles away.
