Tell me if i was mean

When I was in high school I had a few girls I use to hang around .we did almost everything together we had some of the same classes. There was this one girl out of the group omg she smelled so bad I never knew how to tell.her I always had to cover my nose anytime she came around. She smelled like cat piss she just had this foul smell. one day I pulled her privately to the side and told her she had a little odor and gave her a bar of soap .she got mad and went to one of the security guards we was cool with and told her .she question me asking why did I do that it hurt her feelings I said to the lady I was just being a friend. Was I too harsh??

I think you were within your right to call attention to her B.O. since she hangs out with your group. Why should you suffer her offensive smell. But you when too far giving her a bar of soap. That would have been resented as an insult.

I think you did right. It was done in a private conversation. I had done this with a girl who has a body odor.
