Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate tonight!
I will spend time in tonight. My parents and I don't keep Christmas eve - though my cousin used to invite us over for a Christmas party on either Christmas eve or Christmas day, however , inexplicably - he promptly stopped inviting us over last year. It was strange because no one was in a bad mood , there had been no fight... he just didn't invite us, just like he didn't invite us this year.
But, go figure.
I will see mom and dad tomorrow when we will go out to eat a A Chinese restaurant (our new holiday tradition).
But I'm getting away from myself. This evening I am going to enjoy watching some Christmas movies like "Scrooged".
Featuring Bill Murray as a cold hearted tv executive , who gets visited by the 3 ghosts of Christmas this is a sometimes shocking and sometimes funny holiday movie. Actually the majority of how much I like this movie is based on Carol Kane's presentation of the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Check it out in this clip.

Chinese food on Christmas... Reminds me of another movie, "A Christmas Story" where the family's turkey explodes and they have to go out to a Chinese Restaurant for dinner because it is the only place open on Christmas. The waiters sing "Deck the Halls" with bounds of "folly" (holly), lol. That Billy Murray movie is a thumbs up and also starred Karen Allen (from Animal House and Raiders of the Lost Ark Fame) as his girlfriend

I love "Christmas Story" - they served the duck with the head on even , lol. Ever see "Summer Story"? Same characters but different actors. :-)

The same thing happened with my moms family. Out of the blue they stopped inviting us to holiday get togethers. I think it just got to hard with all the grandkids but there was never an explanation. Now after my mom and dad split up and my mom has a boyfriend none of them invite us to anything at all. We weren’t invited to graduation parties or baby showers or anything. I don’t think we all should be punished or shunned by my mothers choices.
