Are you a doodler?

I think it's almost like a habit for some people, whenever they can reach for a pen and paper. I used to do that when I was a student. They were mostly drawings of (imaginary) flowers or some random, abstract geometric forms. Or my name, sometimes. But of course, they were far from pretty. I've seen some really intricate, jaw-dropping doodles and wonder why they're called doodles. They're masterpieces! Do you know that many US presidents doodle too? Yes, even presidents doodle. So are you a doodler? When and what do you doodle?

Yes I am a doodler, particularly while I am talking to someone on the phone. I checked the Presidents' Doodles, I have to say that mine are better than most of those.

Haha yeah I find most of them very funny! I like doodling when I'm on the phone too, if there's a pen and paper within reach.

@cahaya1983 I always have a pen and paper within reach when I am on the phone, you never know if you need to write down something.

I would doodle a flower or a geometric figure or a cartoon, if I am holding a pen and a sheet of paper, specially while talking to someone on a landline phone.

I'm very bad at drawing cartoons (or pretty much everything for that matter) so I used to just doodle random shapes and patterns.

@cahaya1983 There is nothing wrong in drawing random shapes and patterns. Whatever you sub-consciously draw on a piece of paper, shows your state of mind or what is going on in your mind.

@dpk262006 In that case they show how random and unpredictable I am, I suppose.

I am a doodler, too, and have been doing it since I was a little girl. My favorites are making designs out of a scribble, loop, or line. Some are frame worthy.

Yes, I remember the days at school when the last page of my every notebook were used up scribbling little things especially names of friends. We did it mostly to pass time during a boring class. But gone are those days. Now doodling has grown into an art form and there are so many people working on it intricately. Its more like a passion for them. I absolutely love doodled art work.
