Would You Watch Other People Play Video Games?

May 19, 2014, an article written by Leo Mirani was published in Quartz and basically the writer said that the future of “the next YouTube” would be a site where people watched other people play video games. I scoffed at first and thought such a thing was absolutely incredulous. But since that was 3 years ago, I've had time to think about it. Even though my initial reaction was that it sounded bizarre, now that I've thought about it, I don't know why I scoffed. It'll just be another spectator sport. We watch people play golf and chess, don't we? It's 2017. Is there anybody out there who watches other people play video games?
It sounds like the worst nightmare of a 21st-century parent. Not only are the kids addicted to video games, they aren't even playing the games themselves. Instead, they're sitting in front of the computer watching other people play. Where, oh where, did we

I do because it helps me develop my mic skills. I want to stream games too and I am trying to absorb some formula from the successful streamers so I can develop my own style.

Youtubers win a lot of money with those videos, but personally is not my kind of thing.
