A new start for a new year

2017 has been a bad year for me. Due to various diseases I spent 4 months confined at home and 1 week in a hospital... A neighbor took the opportunity of my poor health condition to invade a property, and I had to spend 2 more months in public archives to collect old deeds concerning this property. It will be judged at the end of January, I wish good luck to this neighbor, she will need some.
I have a busy schedule for the beginning of this year. First I have some work to do in the deep countryside in January. The soil is clay and nasty at this time of the year, but the natives are interesting to observe. I went there 2 days this week and I had my meals in a restaurant full of truckers and farmers. They have a limited 500 words vocabulary, among them 100 four letters words, and some weird habits. I will perhaps write the results of my ethnological investigations for the elite international society we have on myLot.
I will spend the end of next week visiting museums and doing some shopping in Paris, it will be a thrilling contrast, and I have also scheduled a few travels through Europe this year.
I have taken a few resolutions for 2018, one of them regarding more specifically myLot. I have stopped to be active anywhere else online, and I intend to spend less time here. It is not a leaving, just that I am refocusing my activities on real life. I will not bring anything else than my phone during my trips, so do not expect to see me often because I am not comfortable when it comes to type with a phone. I will probably be there during weekends though, if I am at home.
I am now choosing the clothes I will wear this evening to celebrate the New Year’s Eve with friends.

I include all mylotters, they are really elite compared to the clients in the restaurant where I had my lunch this week

Well sounds like 2017 was pretty bad and I really hope the housing situation works out for you. I think traveling to Paris and Europe sound amazing. Sometimes we all get to busy to be very active here. While mylot is amazing enjoying our lives is more important!

@topffer I remember reading a post before about your health but do not recall exactly what you were sick with I had thought cancer. Maybe when you win the trial you can get the money back from all the court fees etc by your attorney making her pay the costs. I don't know much about the law only what I used to see on television shows lol

@topffer that stinks I hope the judge decides in your favor with all costs this time as lawyer fees can be ridiculously expensive! Strokes are awful my dad had two or three big ones and a few small ones over the years. He has a lot of health issues. He decided to travel more and enjoy live more after his last stroke.

Speaking of health, 2017 was the worst year I ever had
. I can hardly lose the trial against my neighbor, the main problem is that it is a waste of time and money. I have scheduled two travels in Spain and Austria to visit Vienna.

Health is everything . . . time and time again I get reminders in life about that. I wish you excellent health for this year (and always) so you can reach all your goals with travels and beyond. Enjoy Paris!
Oh just how are you coping with the "natives"? A bit of culture clash? 
I know too well what it's like to try to myLot from the phone . . . so I don't bother until I can get to the desktop at home.

The New Year's Eve was a great time but we are aging : we did not managed to drink all the Sauternes (it was a Climens 2003) and eat all the foie gras, and instead of ending with a cognac we ended with a medicine for the liver at 3 am
I see the natives only at the restaurant. I am a bit lost among this herd of alpha males, but I am spoiled by the waitress and the owner's wife. We have a horrible storm in France today with a lot of strong wind and I went back at home for the afternoon, wet like a sewer rat.

I missed this one tops and I can remember I was not in the best of moods over those days so to wish you all the best for this year and that nothing but good things comes your way.

In the US, we have what is called title insurance, which insures the title to real property. Boundary disputes, of course, require a survey to adjudicate.
I am glad you are planning some good times and trips for the new year. I hope that it is a happier, healthy one for you.

I have found several deeds written by notaries for both sides telling that it is my property, the older from 1779, and sent some of them. The problem is that she keeps silent and does not respond to registered letters, so I had no other choice than to put the case in court. I have nothing against a survey, several deeds are very clearly written and surveyors are following deeds.
There is a cold drizzle falling on Paris today, but it is alright to visit museums.

Would love to hear the result of the court case & of your latest dig. Hope you succeed with whatever you plan to do future wise. Don't think of us too much while you work, would hate to know that we were the reason you got hurt . We will of course miss you whenever you become silent for too long. Take care .

I cannot speak of the work due to a confidentiality clause, but I can speak of the natives. For the trial, I do not think I can lose it, but as the neighbor is of complete bad faith and does not respond to registered letters, I expect an appeal to stall things more longer

re your weather! We have had strange weather here, but as long as there is no horrible rain, we are happy. If you don't come here often, I am worried for your fans.
