Do you reply to all the responses in your discussion

I had started a discussion in 2008 coz people would start discussions and then not reply to the responses received. Ten years later its still the same. People are actively replying to others discussions but they are not checking and replying to the responses to their own discussions. How could we change that. Have put a link to my old discussion here.

Do you start discussions and then do not reply to the responses? / myLot

I have seen a lot of discussions started by mylotters for which they have received a reasonable number of responses. But they have not acknowledged even a...

I always reply to all the responses I receive. I check every day if I missed someone. When there are many replies it's not always easy to check.

I usually check all my discussions over the weekend to see if i have missed Anything as i have a full time job and not always able to log in here.

I try to respond to all of them. But i`m not sure if i respond to all of them. Sometimes people write and you can`t find a response for them

Yes there are times when there is just nothing that you can say. But even then I do try and put in some response.

I try to comment back to the responses but many of the times I get bored of writing same comments so I leave the discussion. But the thing is we must comment back.

I agree is boring sometimes to reply the same thing to everyone. If I get bored I just leave the replies for the day and get back to the discussion the next day.

This has been a long issue here in mylot for years. anyway I do both .... I respond to the NEW TOPIC and comment to those who had been responding to my writings. Happy new year!

Some people believe they get paid for just starting discussions. They do not know that they get paid for interactions and that means they have to post replies to everyone who has responded to their discussions.

@mayka123 seriously. I didn't know that, too. I thought it is the starting discussions that we are getting paid. thanks for telling. but I really do respond and comment back if necessary.

I think when we start discussions we should make it a point to visit those discussions and ensure we reply to everyone who has posted something there. I too have missed out a few so now am checking all my discussions.

Sometimes responding to discussions makes the interactions very interesting and we get to learn a lot through our discussions.

Sometimes it takes me a few days to return comments but I always make sure to leave a reply to any comment I receive on my posts. I know some people just get so busy and have limited time here but the ones who post a lot of discussion a day and hardly resond to any comments irk me and I stop commenting on their posts.

I am more active here on weekends. Sometimes during the week I am not able to check my discussions but I ensure I post replies to everyone over the weekend.

I too have forgotten a few times. The reason being is I don't spend much time here. But sometimes I do go through my old discussions and post responses.

@ramapo17 I have a full time job so I usually get time only on weekends. Now that its summer vacations for my grandson I quite often take him out on weekends so I will hardly get any time to be here for the next couple of months. But whenever I am here I do check all my notifications.

@mayka123 When I am not involved in anything around the house or community I go on to as many posts as I can. Now that spring is here I will be out in the yard more in my gardens so I know I will only be here in the daytime when it is raining. Sometimes I am up till 2am trying to catch up to things each day here.

I understand what you are saying. I guess when I have lots on my mind that I may not go through my discussions and make sure i answered all the responses. I am sorry for those i forgot. I did not do it on purpose not responding.

@mayka123 It's my first day on myLot and I had been busy responding to everybody's comments on my discussion and I am not even getting to comment on others' comments. Just now, I'm taking some time to visit others' wall, follow them and comment on their discussion as well. (Apologies, that I couldn't go to your old discussion that you've tagged here. I too have this problem that at times I am so busy responding to comments in my discussion that I do not get to comment on others But I do try and make time for both. And look forward to your response to my old discussion.

I respond to almost all replies. However someone's there's really much you can say to the replies and I just end up thanking them for the reply.

I go through & read replies to my discussions (as I get notifications for them right along with replies to my replies on others' discussion). I guess we could encourage other members to 'set their "Notification Settings"' to include 'responses- & comments on their own discussions' http://www.mylot.com/settings/notifications (If they're members who 'check their Notifications-page often.' A lot of "members" only come to myLot when either they want to post something themselves and/or they get 'an email' from myLot (which is how I-used to and -sometimes still do handle my myLot-action) ... email which they can also control on the "Notification Settings" page.)
