This cartoon by Brian Gordon, which was posted on Facebook last year, should sum up what it must be like up there.
Although it is not as cold here I still think it is too cold, I am so ready for SPRING
I just hope we all get an early one. By the way, how early does spring start where YOU are?

That must be so odd @bunnybon7 I've always heard that FL is always sunny and usually doesn't get down below 50 even in winter.

Awesome, maybe today it will be just as warm.
It is weird this morning, at 6:45 am it was already 59f out which is unusual even for this region. Usually we get really cold nights and warmer afternoons.
Ohhhh goody, I'll be able to open all the windows and boy do I need to.

Well, so much for opening the windows @misunderstood_zombie the blasted wind kicked up along with the dirt n sand so only one window was opened and it didn't get all that warm either, blasted weather people just can't get it right.

Here on the Great Plains of Turtle Island we went almost 3 weeks straight without the temp ever getting above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. We were below zero for around 15 of those days. Finally yesterday it got above 32 degrees for the first time. It got all the way up to 35. It was like a heat wave. In the 6+ years I've been here this is by far the coldest it's ever been. Next week it's supposed to actually get into the 40's. It'll be time to break out the shorts. I miss the winters down south in the desert. I really do.

American Indian lore I presume? I looked up the Great Plains of Turtle Island and all I got was a wonderful mythology. I'll be reading that later.
So your freezing your tootsies off I take it. I really hate when it gets that cold but lucky me lives in the Chihuahuan desert where really cold weather is rare. It finally climbed to 52 a while ago so now it's not so bad if I bundle up warmly ...... yeah, I ain't wearin no shorts in this kinda cold.

Bucket of suck - probably true (oh but not funny for those who live the brrrrrrrr!). I'm not sure what season we're in . . . it feels like our kind of winter in the night and in the early morning - but it feels autumn-ish still during the day. We don't know spring - it literally seems like it goes straight to summer !

@rebelann Today it actually showered .. . . hurray, hurray . . . not sure if we get any more than that though. It finally feels like winter today.
Our local fires have been put out . . . but the Ventura fire was a doozy. The fires are gone, but with this rain comes the mud/landslides .

Yeah, that figures @much2say the developers never consider what could happen when they're trying to get upscale homes built. I remember reading something about a really bad mudslide out in Southern CA back in the late 70s or early 80s. I just remember the news caster stating that very few people had the proper insurance to cover their losses.
