Tonight you would have it tonight???? Not if I were there it would be a figment of your imagination by now! Its called a pound cake because the tin you cook it in takes a pound of mixture and once baked it is delicious especially with Jam!

Your pound cake looks delicious and now an Italian will tell you why it is called Pound Cake. It is called Pound Cake, because the original recipes of the 1700s, calls for one pound of each ingredient. Now you know.
