Grumble, grumble!

Once upon a time,
I wrote a story.
Well, almost. It wasn't quite finished.
See, I only had a few more lines to go before it was done. It was a short story, less than 1000 words but I'd spent a lot of time on it because, you know, with kids you type a line and then pause to change a diaper. Type a line and break up bickering. Write a line and, oh look! It's lunchtime.
sigh.
At any rate, I was pausing for another mom moment and while my back was turned, my 2.5 year old decided to "x" my story.
I lost the whole dang thing.
My fault, I know. That "save" button is there for a reason. But I'm still pretty miffed. Not at my kid, though. Just at myself.
And now I'm just too mentally exhausted to try to re-write it.
The End.

I hear that, I have had that happen too even as a great grandmother when I got the little ones here I get distracted and sometimes I forget to back it up and save and if the computer goes down. UGH gone.

This would really be the pits. What a shame. Did you have another go at it later?
