Is This Winter Weather?

Where I live, since the beginning of last year we are having the most unusual weather.
The past night I woke up due to a loud noise that, at first, I could not identify, but I later realized that it was thunder.
I saw the lightning through the closed shutters and the thunders continued for a couple of hours, with torrential rain and wind.
Today we are having the same kind of weather. While we were having lunch, the thunderstorm turned to hailstorm.
It only lasted about ten minutes, no big ice pellets, no damages, but never seen before during the month of January.
I suppose that this is part of the climate change, no matter who or what, are creating the change.
The temperature her is warmer than usual, I hope it's warming up also for our Canadian and US friends.
Are you experiencing unusual weather? Too warm, too much rain, too hot?

@Kandae11 Where do you live? Have you ever thought of moving some place where you don't have to worry about hurricanes? Like where I live we only have some minor flooding once in a while. I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Bradford county. Lots of mountains and trees and animals!

@Butchcass4 My home country is Guyana, South America, but I have closer family ties on the Caribbean island where I presently reside. No hurricanes or earthquakes in Guyana, but it would be difficult to pack up and leave everything behind - including my only child - an adult son.

The weather is rotten in France, it is cloudy and raining since the end of December, and we started the year with two bad storms, Carmen and Eleanor. Because of the rain the temperature is sweet, but I would not tell that it is yet Spring. I have not seen a thunderstorm yet, for sure it is unusual during Winter.

@LadyDuck It is raining every day in my place since about Dec 20th. The good is that we will not lack of water this year, the bad is that this wet weather is unhealthy. I found an old KWay in my wardrobe. The bad is that it is yellow, I hope the rain will stop soon.

The last day of the year was very cold, we came back from Italy feeling frozen. When we went back the 4th of January it was as warm as mid-Spring, sunny with a temperature of 16 Celsius. It is so strange. I cannot remember something similar in the past. Winter was cold.

It has been so much warmer than it has been in years, it is weird even for here! We will get our cold spike soon, but these 70 degree sunny days are so strange

@LadyDuck We had a couple of weeks of really cold weather, then it has been pretty nice again, but cold is coming back. All the while very little precipitation, snow or rain either one.

@GardenGerty We had more rain than usual, but almost no snow, it's not very good for some crops.

That is very unusual.
I hope that your weather turns around.
Yesterday we had our weather turn, and the terrible cold snap has pretty much broken now for our region.
We enjoyed a high of 1C yesterday, so there was some melting.
This morning the sun is out shining brightly and it feels like it is above freezing again, as you can see the snow and ice melting. We will enjoy that until Thursday I believe.

Yes very strange to have freezing weather here, its early. We always get a couple weeks of cold in later Feb. or early March right before Spring opens up for us.

@MikesAngel317 I know we always complain about the weather, but we have all the reason for this.

Last week it was extremely cold here and that is unusual for here. Now it's back to being warm and normal.

@BelleStarr I have read later in the day that there was not a Tsunami and the earthquake affected mainly the area south of Cuba. During the night a smaller one rattled central Italy.

Our weather is odd, as it is all over the world. It was bitter cold, now it's a bit warmer here. Yes, last winter we had thunder and lightening, which we'd never experienced before.

@LadyDuck Thunder, lightening, and rain in the winter, is unheard of in Michigan. Last year, we were shocked by that strange weather in December!
