BEATING THOSE TEMPERATURES. - HEATED JACKETS!

For those Mylot members who live in countries where winters are very cold - have you ever worn a heated jacket? And does it really do the job? First time I heard of these jackets was on the CNN's New Year's Eve , Times square Ball Drop. Hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were wearing them - and looked quite comfortable. I am now wondering if there is anything similar for hot weather - I know only of the cooling scarf . It would be nice if a battery operated cooling device was available which could fit easily into our summer wear.

Heated jackets? I have never heard of that. Some cars have heated seats. I have sat on them and it felt strange but it worked.

@db20747 When a car is left outside for a few hours in this temperature the seats can get pretty cold. So warm seats can be appreciated.

Sounds great for those who need it. I've only worn heated gloves and boots for skiing, but they were heated with packs that didn't stay warm long enough. Brrrr!

@Kandae11 I have no ideas, he receives the jacket from the company where he works. They are surely not cheap.

I've never heard of them. It does sound interesting. I don't think a cooling anything for clothes is feasible for summer.

@Kandae11 Same here. One of the reasons I love winter so much. You can layer it on, you can't take enough off to get cool in summer.

My house is not air conditioned . During the really hot summers when I am getting dressed to go out, even with the fan blowing hot air I perspire before I am finished.

I have heard of heated jackets but have never tried one. A guy I know was considering buying one for when he is sitting out in the woods hunting in the cold.

Never wore a heated jacket and I guess it would only be practical for those who are outdoors fro a long time. The good thing about a warm country is that you could wear very little clothing

Yes, you could at home, but for work and some places where you do business- you cannot enter wearing a sleeveless top.

@Kandae11 I hate hot weather so much, and I've thought and thought about how cool it would be to have clothes that cooled us down. I'm not sure how they could do this, but it would be wonderful.
