It can be quite frustrating to lose something inflight knowing that you trusted an airline to take care of your belongings. I recently lost a bottle of wine and one of my suitcases was damaged.
I have heard people complain a lot but does this happen that often and is it with all airlines?

I haven't flew in over a decade.
But if the flight lost your belongings, don't they have a reimbursement?

You have to be vigilant and cautious with what you bring. Some people actually steals stuff or baggage now a days.

yeah thats is one great tip. But once you check-in your luggage you have no control of how well it is taken care of.

there was a newsfeed here in my country, about a parcel of a returning Filipino worker, and the parcel was stripped off its baggage and stolen by airport personnel. good thing there were CCTVs and the suspects were apprehended and terminated from their jobs.

@aureliah i agree. it seems these people do not get scared with the police authorities, that sometimes i think they have bigger backers (people who can save them from prison) when they commit crimes.

@ridingbet Which is quite sad. All I know is never to pack my valuables in check-in baggage
