We all like to post discussions and make comments on mylot but i think we should add something more in the discussion and shouldn't just post links or even videos only so that others need to visit that link or video to get more information about that.
I am sorry if i am wrong but i don't like to visit those links or videos so would be better if they describe in discussion what they intend to say.
Your thoughts please.

I would think that just posting a link in a discussion without writing anything is not allowed. But whether it's allowed or not it shouldn't be done. People should write a full discussion and then post the link for reference purposes, not just post a link or write a few lines only and include the link.

Some like to write one or two lines and direct us to the link which won't help the discussion any, my thoughts

You're right, that isn't allowed.

@thesupersingh I agree. Sometimes I cringe when I see that there is a video or link to go through. It almost makes me feel like I am doing a chore. If it's something short and sweet then I don't mind but if it's something that will take up a lot of my time then I get a little annoyed.

@Daljinder Sometimes it feels like I'm about to study for an exam with the videos that keep popping up.

If it is once in a while then it is okay but if a person is posting videos in every discussion and those videos are long as well (like hours long) then I really do skip those.

I think some description about the video would be best

Posting just a link and not describe in short (at the very least) what the link is about is a put-off. I skip those or just quickly fast forward it to have an idea what it is about. So that I have something to type in my response about the link.

@thesupersingh I mostly always put in videos and many times links. Not everybody wants to look at them, but that's OK, but there's nothing wrong with it.

@thesupersingh I see what you mean, I thought you mean not to put it in at all. Yes, we need to just use that as an small aid, and write mostly in the post.

But I think you post details about it in the discussion as well which others don't do

I find the links helpful but there should definitely be a discussion along with it.

Yeah it should contain the information of what we can find in the link or video

@thesupersingh Well said. It doesn't add value when directed to links. In my opinion, it's more valuable when discussions are open and direct to the point. Thanks for sharing.

I dont post links. As i personally never go to them on others discussions. But they should have some detail in the discussion they're with
