Interaction in the real world

We have seen how interaction at myLot tapered down when they stopped paying. When it comes to the real world atleast in my world there is very little interaction as compared to what it used to be in the good old days when the virtual world did not exist.
Would there be more interaction in the real world if there was payment? How active are you in the real world as of now. Do you interact more in the real world than you do in the virtual world?

I work from home so obviously my offline interaction is quite limited on a typical working day. But I don't think payment would be the main motivation for me to interact in real life. It's more of a social necessity for me.

If someone paid you for talking that would be a different story. Would you go for it?

Payments in kind (gifts) will help us interact in real life more. Digital world/devices has robbed pleasure of real world. People spend more time on electronic devices rather than physically interacting with each other.

@allknowing I can understand that you enjoy interacting here with your online friends on various issues/topics, which may not be the case with real life friends/relatives.

After meeting so many online who share my interest I get tempted to spend more time here as in my real world I find none. May be if there was no virtual world I would get pleasure talking to real world contacts discussing perhaps what we ate and what we wore (lol)

There will be but it will be so annoyingly insincere. It will feel like those sales people trying to push their product or trying to recruit by suddenly being friendly. Cringey.

@allknowing I can still go back to a time when there was no internet. People were already doing stuff like penpals or phone pals. And that's pretty much what remote communication was like pre-internet.
I'd say, for me, it has only changed for the better. I tend to be shy around people but find that I am more friendly, and chatty and expressive via online. Back then, I'd prefer to lock myself up in my room than talk to people.

If there was no virtual life for us I wonder if we would tolerate our interaction in the real world. Just a thought

@allknowing I'm a nervous person. Things pop out of my mouth I don't intend to say and sometimes I get nervous and my mouth and brain freezes up and I can't talk.

That means your real life interaction is little and you will not increase it if they pay you as little as this. There you may have to talk in volumes and so may get paid more

I have less interaction now in the real world. Glad there is now the virtual world. It's less stressful than the real world

We need interaction and that is human tendency. When we get it in the virtual without hassle why go for the real world?

You have business you say and could that be the reason why you interact in the real world?
