My patience is wearing thin.

How patient are you? I have always considered myself to be reasonably patient, but now that patience is beginning to wear thin.
When I relocated to the country in 2015, I had no idea that the internet service here would be so shoddy. In fact, it wasn't until mid 2016 when we received something decent to work with - and now even that seems to be falling apart. On Monday we were without service for most of the day. Tuesday it is back - but only partially.
Two new internet companies are expected to get on board in the very near future - and I hope that means during the first half of this year- because I am really running out of patience. Has anything really tested your patience recently?

I have little patience for almost everything dealing with other people and technology. I'm a want it right now person. I'm doing my best to learn patience and I think I'm doing okay, until the next situation comes along to prove otherwise. I can be patient as long as I know what's going on.

I'm usually patient too. But there are always things that make us not.. like being on hold too long or computer / internet issues

@Kandae11 Things that are not in your control leads to the higher power, God who makes all things possible. My patience is controlled by knowing he will send and give .just what I need when it is truly warranted. Ask and you will receive. Be at rest that if it is happening, it is so you can focus on other things that you might have been avoiding or neglecting.
Take that downtime to get more aligned in your life. Even though the internet is a vital lifeline... how did you handle your time before it transformed your life? Be at peace for this is just a test. What you resist persist. Let patience run its perfect course. You will need these learned coping skills soon.. Blessings. Prosperity 2018

@Kandae11 Does your cell get the internet? Can you use your cell as a hotspot? Can you use your laptop offline to work and upload it online to your cellphone? I create/work offline on my laptop, then transfer online through cell. It is a workaround. It works out. Just a thought. Yes, I do have s new laptop that does go online , yet I do not use it. Help is on the way. Blessings.

@Uniquely_Designed My cell gets the internet, but the service cuts out completely every 15 or 30 minutes. I think it is a system overload in my area, because it is a bit better late at night.

Yes, I feel your pain..I have been in this area for almost 12 years and blessedly, this internet is reliable..but you can not get unlimited internet unless you want to pay through the nose for it. The county doesn't seem to think that certain parts of the county should have broadband available readily. I would freak out if I had to go without internet on a regular basis. Maybe you should move to an area where the internet is better. I want to.

Since last year when I noticed what was happening I felt like moving back to the city - where I had no internet problems whatsoever. However, where I am now is relatively crime free - when compared to living in the city. And I would have to rent a house or an apartment again, whereas here in the country I am in my own residence. I am hoping that things get better when the new companies come on board.

Internet connection is really part of our lives. I have the same experience before with my first internet provider. So I terminated the contract with them and find a new one. This turned out to be a very good decision because I really am enjoying my new connection now.
