I have been told to picture the audience naked. I myself do not like speaking in front of people I am a one on one person and prefer that. So, for those that do not have problems speaking in front of someone what you think about while speaking?

I have no problems speaking, or performing music in front of an audience. I just simply pretend they are not there, and that I am in a recording studio, or something.

I used to get scared speaking in front of too many people but over the years I have gained achievements in life that gave me confidence. That alone is enough for me not to be scared in giving speeches in from to of people.

I rarely have to speak in front of people but mostly I'm just keen to share something with them and I forget to be scared. I don't know when I changed from being really reluctant to speak to not minding so much.

My first stint at speaking in front of people was a disaster (I was MC at a school's graduation) - anyway I got better with time.

Kandase, I guess practice makes perfect. Do you ever stand in front of a mirror and practice?

If you need to speak in front of a large gathering or group. You should not look towards your audiences, instead you should stare on something else and should continue with your speech. Hope this trick will help you to speak in front of a large gathering. I apply the same technique.

I was taught in college to picture someone sitting on the toilet. lol. I was a teacher for my entire career, modeled, and commentated for fashion shows, so it doesn't bother me. I actually enjoy it.

Dianne, I am glad you found what you liked to do. What did you model? Did you enjoy it? Did you do fashion shows and deal with lots of designers?
