Food poisoning

That’s one of the things you can get from eating at restaurant. My brother in-law eats snacks every day. Chances are very high to get something nasty in one of those snacks one day. I think that he learned his lesson. Sometimes I eat snacks too, but that’s not regular. And that’s only when we are too busy to shop for groceries or to cook. Or if I am too hungry to wait for something to be cooked. Otherwise I prefer homemade food even if doesn’t taste too good. At least I know it’s clean. What about you? Home or Restaurant food?

Home food is much cheaper too! We eat homemade meals mostly, but do go out to restaurants occasionally. The worst bout of food poisoning we had was from a restaurant that served us not-hot-enough clam chowder - we should have been more suspicious. That night 3 of us friends got VERY sick!!

I wouldn’t suspect that either. But we learn from such instances.

@infatuatedbby yes but one has to go through hell to throw up. That’s the worst part

Always home food. We live 7 kms from the nearest town so we rarely buy a snack from any shops. Food poisoning isn't pleasant.

@Madshadi We have a small town 7kms away but there is a very good supermarket there. We cook almost everything ourselves although we're not into cakes and biscuits as my husband has Type 2 diabetes.

I've never had food poisoning, and I've ate from out many times. I prefer home for certain things and out for others.

I’m glad you never did. And one should just go to reputable restaurants I suppose.

@Madshadi If I had the money I would eat out everyday, or if I had a lot of money I would hire my own chef.

@Madshadi I guess since we can't afford it, we can still be thankful for the food we have.

@misunderstood_zombie that’s true. Just think about all the people who can’t even get by

I don't see how eating snacks would make you more at risk for food poisoning then other foods. My boyfriend recently got it from eating lettuce that was contaminated with ecoli whereever it was grown.

I prefer home cooked food. Once I got a milder case of food poison. The reason I know this is because it was at our High School Senior Banquet and other students got the same sick feeling after eating the meal. Other than that instance I have never been severely food poisoned and hope never to be.

Those gatherings are the worst for clean food. I’m glad it was only mild

I eat out all the time and have never ever gotten food poisoning. We only eat at better restaurants and never fast food joints.

Fast food is less about quality or hygiene and more about selling as many meals as possible
