Do cats need bath?

I have two cats in home. One's name is Duchess (female) and the other one is Amadeus (male).
I even sometime give them bath but it's a big challenge for me. And of course, they do not like this.
However, I've always seen them licking their body tip to toe most of the time - at least once a day.
I think this is the process of cleaning themselves and they don't need bath. That's why they don't want us to give them bath because they clean themselves.

the only time i give my cats a bath is either if they got something on their fur,or they're old and need a little help.
otherwise,it's usually best left to them..

Ok. They are indeed very meticulous. Yesterday, I was going out and backside of my track was full of cat fur. I realized when I was inside the lift. With a smile on my face, I went out just like that.
(I have a roller to clean my clothes but I forgot yesterday )

A healthy cat will bathe itself as you describe. Some people give baths to try to kill fleas or help allergic skin. MOST cats do not like water, but there are one or two breeds that do. I had a cat that liked water.

Giving them bath once a week will be the biggest challenge for the owner.

We don't give bath to our cats but it's a good idea to keep them neat and fresh

They are indoor cats. They don't go outside.

Yes, that's the reason they don't like us giving them bath.

I never bathe my cats. Ever since I had cats, until now and I never bathe any of them. Except for one instance when my pet escaped outdoors and went home all black covered in mud, grime or something like she's fallen on some sort of canal. That's the only time I remembered that I bathed and cleaned my cat thoroughly.
My cat is a good groomer. Her skills is enough to keep her short coat and skin clean and healthy hehe
Actually most if not all cats are good groomers.
