A Broken Mind

There are some things I cannot understand at all. And one is murder. I am not talking about the murders you see on T.V. that are about greed and are plotted. No, I am talking about the murders that happen when someones mind snaps. Even deeper in the woods than I am sits a building that used to be a small community gas station and small grocery, these people bought it and made it a cafe with entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. I used to help this one band with promotion, a couple of the members were distance cousins, So I was a regular at the Rabbit town Cafe, although there was no alcohol served the owner was a disgusting drunk but the rest of the staff was professional. They played there at least once a month, sometimes each weekend if he could not get anyone else. As I watched the local news I heard " calhoun county and murder" that got my attention. Seems this man killed his children, the adult daughter and her boyfriend and the 12 year old son, Then he went down to the Rabbit town cafe and killed himself there. The wife and another daughter was not around. The news people found out that they had separated again. No reason why at the moment but knew they had before and he had anger problems. I cannot understand why anyone would want to kill their children, if they want to kill themselves so be it but the children?

This kind of news makes me sick. How is it that people can kill their own kids? The other couple in California also did horrible things to their kids.

It's hard to fathom what goes through the mind of anyone who would waste the gift of life, it's not like you can take it back.

I know. I reckon since he killed himself no one will ever know why.

That is very sad. People seem to bury lots of emotions deep inside sometimes.

It`s sad to hear about things like this I believe that the person who did this had some breakdown and got their kids killed in their own hands without knowing it. Breakdowns is really dangerous if not noticed and was not given some good support to overcome the little difference before getting it worst

@andriaperry I guess that`s the problem a breakdown I remember my father had a breakdown and was walking at the street without shoes on and thinking away I had to run to him and asked him why? I was lucky that at that time I had my salary with me to give him for some food to buy because he was thinking about it that time and was worried what my little siblings will eat

Yes, you have to wonder how their mind could even conceive of that. There was one case on TV like that, apparently the man had a stroke and it changed his entire personality and way of thinking. However, I think that is pretty rare..I don't think most people's minds could snap that far honestly.

After a stroke maybe he felt life was over, if he was that vain.

They snap and think that if they are taking themselves out, they might as well take everyone else out with them. It is usually men who do that. Or maybe he did it as revenge toward the mother.

True, if life is so bad you can't take it anymore, then off yourself if you have to, but leave your children and others alone.

I've been asked this same exact question! If someone is depressed and wants to take their own life, why do they usually take someone else with them, especially the life of an innocent child?

@andriaperry What could a child ever do, to deserve being murdered by someone who's mentally ill?

Whether a mind snaps or not the only person responsible for the crime is the one who committed it. Some people for whatever reason are just pure evil
