Good afternoon.Feeling bit better. I have noticed in some states racism is making headway. In our town we do not have any problems. I have not heard of anything in our area. But I do think overall we are making headway. So what about your area. Are things making headway there. Photo is google image.

I do not belong to your world. If you come to my world, I would treat you differently because you have different skin. You would get to eat non-veg while I get to eat vegetarian food. (You may not know this but brahmins, the highest caste here, does not eat non-veg). You wouldn't be allowed into our temples naturally. You would however be allowed to roam around outside like other lower caste people. Just telling you how much of racism or whatever it is, exists in our world.

@marlina Well in most temples they do not allow non Hindus. :( Muslims could get in because skin color is ok. You all wouldn't know how to. lol. It is funny actually. A different type of segregation. lol. Then they say it is because there is some wealth in the sanctum sanctorium. But if you want the truth, it is because they don't want others to be talking rationally about the rituals. I am not ritualistic, but I am religious. That is why I find it amusing that they restrict entry into sanctum sanctoriums of temples.

Skin lightening products are total fab in my country. So, yes racism is deeply ingrained.

I do not have any issues with racism, but in general in our city there is some. Last Saturday we were driving down a 5 lane street and came upon a car not moving with its 4-ways on and it looked like the driver was slumped over the wheel. The car was at an odd angle towards the curb. We stopped at the first place we could park our car and ran to her aid. She had run out of gas. She was a very young woman wearing a hajib. My husband and I were so sadly amazed at how many vehicles passed, there was even a racial slur yelled out of a window at her. Another carload of young people stopped and them and my husband pushed her car safely into the parking lot where we were. She called her father to bring her some gas. I felt so sorry for her, she shouldn't have been judged like that, it was unfair. I was glad that he insisted on stopping and helping-even though it was frigidly cold out.

@amadeo It was so embarrassing, I felt awful for her. I cannot imagine being ignored and yelled at because of what I am wearing and the religion that I practise.

@amadeo We have a racism problem also in Europe, not as bad as in the United States, but immigrants from North African are now not very well accepted.

Personally, I think overall, it depends on where you are at. Online offline, etc. People sometimes just seem to be so one sided and never think about the other colors without judging. In some ways though, it does seem to be dying down a little more, with people being a little more open and receptive.

Actually hard to say in city so many jerks. But went down to Brawly a few years back and was amazed at this little town how polite they were, would say what I see and they say not how we do it here. white black brown all welcome here. Not sure if it was business tactic but had a feeling they were not lying. It was so refreshing to see people just being people with how one would think people were meant to live. Just Pretty and was an innocence that I miss since my childhood. This little town that has nothing taught me so much.

Racism in the US is worse, I think and it stems from the Oval Office and His Tweetership in person.
