I think we all like to shop and pay online using our debit and credit cards and other such mediums.
Few days back i read the news about a Mobile phone companies website, its One Plus Mobile, the users that purchased that mobile online from the companies website and paid through credit card are scammed by hackers who have stolen the details of there credit card. Its very bad thing and now those innocent buyers are facing all the issues.
We need to be aware when we shop online and pay with credit cards.
What are you thoughts about it? Do you pay with credit card?

I don't use credit cards when purchasing online; I only buy when it is COD; cash on delivery.

How can credit cards be hacked? What will happen if your credit card is hacked?

I am very careful on line, I rarely use a credit card on line - only when buying a vacation.

There are extraordinary levels of fraud online but the banks cover it up to protect their brand

@thesupersingh I actually don't have a credit card. It is rare but if I do need a credit card then my dad lets me use his. I guess I might need one sometime. If not then that would be great lol

I pay with credit cards because they do offer protection against unauthorized use. I have 2 that I use and in the past two years or so, they caught suspicious activity (charges made in places I don't normally shop at) and they called asking if I had made the charges. When I said , no, they then said they would do an investigation and when it was proved, I would not be responsible for the charges. They also , canceled the card number and issued a new card number and card. So, really, paying by credit card like American Express and MasterCard is the safer way to pay.

I shop online via credit card. Sometimes I shop via PayPal which is linked to my credit card. I never actually keep money in my PayPal account. It's not safe these days using credit cards online but neither is using them anywhere else.
