In Limbo

I hate this feeling of being "in limbo" with this prospective job I had mentioned earlier. I took a second drug test, filled out an application for backgrounds and got fingerprinted. I have however not heard from the HR lady since last Wednesday. Today is Tuesday!
I emailed her a few days ago and also called and left a message mainly asking if she had any update, if I needed to go do the drug screening again. No response from either of those.means, so maybe she is on vacation or out of office or something. But the clock is ticking if they really wanted to have a start date of Feb 12th or Feb 26th.
This feeling of being in "limbo" is not a feeling I enjoy. It makes me paranoid that they are in the process of rescinding their conditional job offer. I dont know why they would and havent given them any reason to do so. But the idle hands here makes me overthink.
How can I chill out? Anyone else feeling in limbo? Happy Tuesday all!

While feeling "in limbo" I do anything productive I *can* do...physical activity is good...and actually that's a fair description of my whole socioeconomic life for the past ten years! (Marking time, keeping busy, not collecting fair payment yet. If I stopped thinking "yet" I'd probably die of despondency.)

It is such a process one needs to go through today to get hired for a job. I believe they have not decided on a person yet. I have been in that situation before and it does make you anxious.

It's probably better if you get yourself busy with other things that will keep you busy. It prevents you from thinking about this problem you are facing. Worrying too much won't get you anyway. How can you chill out when you think about it much? Take care @maezee
