The wind blowing more garbage our way

Another Thursday that had to be windy. Looks like wind likes to blow heavily on rubbish pick up days. I spent 5 minutes cleaning my front yard. And it wouldn't harm our neighbours to seal rubbish bags a little tighter. Other than that it's an average day at work with nothing much going on. How is your day??

Little negligence does some harm we live near thr park so a lot of leaves get blown to us too and some plastic food wrappers, I understand it's extra work. My day is great so far.

It's more about the idea of picking up other peoples rubbish. I don't mind spending that extra time cleaning my own.

Happens to us all the time with the trash. People like throwing their trash everywhere in my yard anyway even if it is not trash day. A little annoying, but hey, gets some exercise and keeps litter away from other places where it will never be picked up haha

I would stay by the window and keep watch to yell at anyone who dares to throw anything in my yard. And would make them pick it up again. That's rude

@Madshadi well, unfortunately, if we were to do that then we would probably get shot. Good ol' America. haha

Must be some pretty strong winds. Don't you hate it when you have to clean other's trash? Perhaps you can mention to the neighbour about the bags? In my country we have steel garbage box in which we place the garbage as dogs are free to roam the roads. We don't walk dogs here...quaint idea.

It's impossible to know where the trash came from as we have many neighbours. Steel garbage boxes are a good idea

@Gita17112016 why does it have to be burglar proof?

@Madshadi Burglar proof steel to be exact and you put the garbage bags in there. It is really secure.

I can't imagine how their garabage blows out if it's tied. I wonder if an animal is getting into it.

Some don’t tie their bags properly, mainly because it’s too full to close. Cats do roam during the night so that’s also possible.

Our garbage day was Tuesday in the city we recently lived in. The street ran east west....I had to put the trash and recycling out before leaving for work. When I returned home I would need to search for my bins...they always seemed to blow away.

I've seen some people tie their bin to a tree when it's windy

My own rubbish is bad enough but picking up someone else's is really the pits.

My rubbish never flies into other peoples yards. And it was windy since last night so people should've known to close their bags tight.

I hope garbage won’t be scattered all over on Sunday
